Madison-Avanti Giving Garden Planning Meeting

[ November 9, 2010; 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. ] The next planning meeting for the Madison-Avanti Giving Garden will be held on Tuesday November 9th, 2010 from 6:30-8:00pm at Madison Elementary Library. The garden organizers will be reviewing progress and prioritizing future projects. All are welcome to attend!

Lions Park Cleanup

[ October 16, 2010; 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. ] Volunteers are needed Saturday by the city of Olympia to help weed flower beds and clean up Lions Park from 9 a.m.-noon.

Garden Volunteers Needed

The first phase of installations of the picnic tables at the Madison-Avanti Garden will begin this Friday, October 15, at 2pm. The tables are partially funded by a grant from the city through the Eastside Neighborhood Association.
About five volunteers are needed to help with concrete; use of wheelbarrows is particularly appreciated.

Lions Park Volunteers in Parks

[ February 27, 2010; 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. ] There will be a volunteer work party (mulching, weeding, picking up limbs, etc) at Lions Park this Saturday, February 27th, from 9am to noon. Dress for the weather (rain is forecast), wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves.  Refreshments will be provided.

Madison-Avanti Garden groundbreaking

[ February 6, 2010; ] The new Madison-Avanti community garden on the grounds of Madison School will be breaking ground on Saturday February 6, 2010. Your help is needed — green thumbs not required! A work party is planned to remove sod, spread bark mulch and begin installation of the fence.
