The Salvation Army has over 100 years experience with this very kind of problem in communities. There has to be rules or it absolutely will not work.

http://olympiawa.gov/city-services/housing-social-service/CDBG%20RFP%20Program%20Year%202013/~/media/Files/CPD/CDBG/Forms/PY2013_CDBG_Applications/InterfaithWorks_PeoplesHouse_CDBGApplication.pdf

I am making a list a questions regarding the proposal for the Monday, August 19th meeting, so that folks from Interfaith Works can tell us about their research into both the low barrier methodology (see Mission Statement, p.2), the perceived need (see Section 8), and the 24-hour public restroom concept (see section 9).

It seems like the August 19th meeting at St. Mike’s will be a facade for the Eastside Neighborhood, that questions will be taken after the “presentation”, if there’s time, I’m sure.

Let’s do our homework, bring documents with us, read the trail of literature, talk to neighbors about what we are learning about the project.
