Plum Street Village – Community Advisory Committee

By now you have probably heard about the Plum Street Village (PSV), a transitional housing site featuring 29 tiny houses. It is staffed and run by LIHI (Low Income Housing Institute) who provide case management and services to the residents.

After running for a couple of months a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was formed with the Eastside Neighborhood Association given a seat. The committee acts as information sharer and helps support the staff through the committee members experience and ties within the wider community.

If you ever have issue with the PSV or want to get involved, reach out to the ENA and we will direct you to the appropriate person.

Free Workshop on Preserving and Caring for Historic Wood Windows

There is an upcoming FREE WORKSHOP, whether they live in a historic home or not.

The city’s Heritage Commission will be holding a free workshop on Preserving and Caring for Historic Wood Windows, on Saturday June 22^nd.

Eastside Neighbor-Tainment Variety Show

Saturday, June 1st, 3 to 5 p.m.

At Salvation Army Worship Center on 4^th & Central

The Eastside and Bigelow Highlands neighborhood associations are sponsoring a family-friendly variety show that will be held on Saturday, June 1^st from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army Worship Center on 4^th and Central. The doors will open at 2:30.

This is called the Eastside Neighbor-Tainment Variety Show. We want to bring neighbors together to create cohesiveness, unity, and connections in our neighborhoods, and make our City a happier and safer place to live.

Come to the show and you will see and hear performers of various ages doing poetry, piano-playing, guitar-playing, singing, and more. Our intention is to include a wide variety of performances that will appeal to people of all ages. It’s not a competition, just an afternoon of entertainment.

Anyone is welcome to attend and the event is free. In addition to performances, the program will include break time with refreshments and an opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another, and a sing-along.

We expect it to be a fun and well-attended event. Please join us. And feel free to bring along family and friends.
