Annual Picnic

The ENA’s annual picnic will be held on Saturday, August 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Association will be providing hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, along with buns, condiments, and beverages. We encourage everyone to bring salads, side dishes, and desserts to share!

We’re currently looking for volunteers to help organize the event. This year we plan to have performers, as well as booths from community organizations. Leave a comment on this post or contact se*******@**************ia.org to volunteer!

Bread & Roses meeting – neighbors invited

Bread & Roses will be holding an informational meeting on June 25 at 7pm at St Mike’s. The organization’s leadership has changed recently, and they would like to share their plans for the future with the community. They would also like to find out about your needs and concerns. Visit the B&R website for more details, or contact Board President Matthew Green at (360) 402-5529 or ma*************@***il.com.

Garden Walk note, part 1

We’ve been asked for information about the soil testing services mentioned on our recent Garden Walk. I’ve asked Tim & Kirk to share who they’ve used in their respective gardens, and they each gave me the name of a company they’ve used.

Kirk has sent materials to:

Libby Environmental
4139 Libby Road NE
Olympia, WA 98506
360-352-2110
li******@*ol.com

They don’t conduct soil nutrient testing, just heavy metals, etc.

Tim has used Timberleaf Soil Testing in CA for nutrient/micronutrient information.

I’ll be continuing to post notes about the walk. If there’s anything you’re particularly curious about, leave a comment on this post!
